Clemson Football: DJ Uiagalelei wants to play with more 5-stars
2020 Clemson football target DJ Uiagalelei wants to play with several other 5-stars from around the nation. Could it happen in Tiger Town?
Perhaps the biggest target in the 2020 Clemson football recruiting cycle is 5-star QB DJ Uiagalelei.
Uiagalelei, a California product, is a talented quarterback with a cannon for an arm and a high football IQ. Currently, the Tigers are considered the favorites to win his services.
Uiagalelei is still considering a bunch of different schools, though, including Oregon and LSU, but the Tigers are at the top of the list.
He’s planning to be a campus again this spring- this time with his mother- for the Clemson football spring game.
While Uiagalelei would be a huge pickup for the Tigers, it seems that he is forming a bond with other 2020 stars that may swing their school choice, as well.
Forming a bond…
Uiagalelei said that he is looking at making a decision in the late-spring or in the summer, but is going to let things process before he commits. Right now, it seems that Clemson and Oregon are the two favorites to win his services.
Uiagalelei has expressed a dream of playing with several other elite play-makers from around the country.
Those include 5-star WR Julian Fleming, 5-star WR Rakin Jarrett and 4-star WR EJ Williams. The Tigers are in good standing, according to most accounts, with Fleming and Williams and it seems that they will get a shot with Jarrett before it’s all said and done.

These kids are going to sign where they think is best for them, but should Uigagalelei choose Clemson, I think that would help in recruitment for the rest of the 2020 class. Not only would he begin recruiting for the Tigers, but the coaches would be able to pitch to other players the opportunity to play with the elite gun-slinger.
