Clemson football wide receiver Hunter Renfrow is going to garner a lot of attention at the upcoming NFL Combine after his performance in the Senior Bowl.
There were two wide receivers that really upped their stock at the 2019 Senior Bowl. Those two guys were South Carolina’s Deebo Samuel and Hunter Renfrow.
Renfrow, who seemingly has been a Clemson football player for years, has made several key plays during his career as a Tiger and absolutely blew scouts away at the Senior Bowl.
People were shocked when they saw the seasoned footwork and absolute athleticism that Renfrow possessed. He made opposing defensive backs look silly at times and, without a doubt, earned himself some money during that week.
Now, he’ll have a chance to continue to increase his draft stock with a solid performance at the NFL Combine, which is slated to begin tomorrow and run through the remainder of this week ending next Monday.
2019 NFL Combine Profile:
Name: Hunter Renfrow
Height: 5-foot-10
Weight: 185 pounds
Draft Grade: Late-rounder, Undrafted
How will he perform?
If Hunter Renfrow doesn’t get drafted, it would be an absolute travesty. He has as good of foot work as any wide receiver I’ve seen and his hands are as consistent as they come.
Because of those skills, I think you see a franchise take a chance on him in the late rounds. Perhaps, it’s not until the 6th or 7th round, but it’s my belief that Hunter Renfrow will be drafted. He’s just too good not to be.
Renfrow served as a safety blanket for three different quarterbacks during his Clemson football career and time after time made huge catches to extend drives in critical moments.
He may not test well when you talk about drills like bench press or vertical or even at the 40-yard dash, but the intangibles and skills that Renfrow brings won’t be overlooked.
He’ll be one of the smallest guys at the combine, but he’ll shine just like he always does.
