Clemson Football 2019: Comparing 5 freshmen to former Tigers

4. Vonta Bentley, 4-star LB

Comparison: Tre Lamar

Bentley is not quite as big as Tre Lamar. Lamar stands at about 6-foot-4 and 256 pounds. Bentley, on the other hand, is a generous 6-foot-1 and around 225 pounds.

While their frames are a bit different, the two guys play the game in a very similar way.

Bentley is going to be a middle linebacker and what I like most about him is his pursuit, aggression and absolute physicality.

I would say that he may be more physical than Lamar. Bentley is also a step or two faster than Lamar and he has a really quick twitch.
