Clemson Football: 4 Tigers we’d love to see compete in the AAF

4. Andre Ellington

Andre Ellington had a few really solid years in the NFL, but was waived by the Houston Texans in 2017 and hasn’t been back in the league yet.

The thing about running backs is that they have a short shelf life in the NFL.

Because of the physicality of the game, running backs get overworked and typically don’t last much longer than a few seasons. Obviously, there are exceptions to every rule.

While it’d be great to see Ellington play in the NFL again, I would really enjoy seeing him explode in the AAF. It’d be a chance for him to play football for a few more years and have some fun playing the sport he loves.
