Clemson Football: 5 elite recruits who never worked out for the Tigers

5. Hunter Johnson

Now, it’s tough to put Hunter Johnson on this list.

Johnson is a very talented quarterback with a bright future. As a matter of fact, he was the second-highest rated quarterback to ever sign with Clemson football, according to 247.

Unfortunately for Johnson, the guy who signed after him just so happened to be the top-rated quarterback of all-time to sign with the Tigers.

Johnson saw the writing on the wall and transferred over to Northwestern, where he is set to have a solid career.

I think we’ll see Hunter Johnson in the NFL one day, but it’s clear his time at Clemson never worked out how many imagined it would.
