We looked at five Clemson football players that outplayed their star-ratings earlier. Now, here are a few 5-stars that never worked out for the Tigers.

Clemson football has been a prime spot for recruits in the past few years under Dabo Swinney.

We’ve seen several guys coming to Tiger Town as 5-stars and leave as NFL-caliber players. We’ve also seen many come as lower-rated prospects and leave as upper-level draft picks.

Sometimes, though, for whatever reason, things just don’t work out as most have planned.

Here are five 5-star recruits that never really worked out during their respective Clemson football careers from the modern recruiting era (2000 and beyond).
