3. Tajh Boyd

Tajh Boyd was part of the “dandy dozen,” also known as Dabo Swinney’s first recruiting class as a head coach.

Boyd was a 5-star quarterback coming out of Virginia and it was a bit of a shock when he chose to come to Clemson.

Him choosing the Tigers was a big deal because it showed early on in Dabo Swinney’s career that big-time recruiting could be done in Clemson.

The Tigers were capable of signing elite recruits- at quarterback nonetheless- and Boyd proved to be one of the all-time greats, setting basically every single career passing total in school history before leaving the program.
