The 2020 Clemson football recruiting class could be one of the best in program history. Here’s the early board for prospects in the 2020 cycle.

The 2020 Clemson football recruiting class is set up to be just as good as the 2019 class, perhaps better.

The Tigers will not take as many as they did in 2019 class. I suspect that they stick around 17-23 depending on how scholarships end up working out.

With that being said, here’s an early look at the recruiting board for Clemson heading into the 2020 cycle.

*Note: This isn’t everybody, but these are some of the top prospects right now that we’ve pinpointed generating interest from the Tigers*

2020 Offensive Prospects:

*Denotes commitment*

  • DJ Uiagalelei, 5-star QB
  • Walker Parks, 4-star OT*
  • Julian Fleming, 5-star WR
  • Paul Tchio, 4-star OT*
  • John Williams, 4-star OT*
  • Ze’Vian Capers, 4-star WR
  • Marcus Dumervil, 4-star OL
  • Rakim Jarrett, 5-star WR
  • Eddie Williams, 4-star WR
  • Tank Bigsby, 4-star ATH

Not listed on here are several other offensive linemen that the Tigers are targeting and a couple of running backs. This is going to be a huge offensive line class for the Tigers. Currently, Clemson already has three offensive linemen- all 4-stars- committed.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Clemson take a couple more because that’s the position that will be a focal point in this class. You’ll also see them take a running back, but there haven’t been any yet that have emerged as the top prospect, although two will be making their way onto campus this weekend for Junior Day.

The biggest prospect in this entire class is 5-star quarterback DJ Uiagalelei. The Hawaii native is one of the top players in the 2020 class and has a huge arm, as well as explosive running ability.

A few other guys to keep your eye out for include 5-star WR Julian Fleming and 4-star Tank Bigsby.

2020 Defensive Prospects:

*Denotes commitment*

  • Demonte Capehart, 4-star DT*
  • Antoine Sampah, 5-star LB
  • Jacolbe Cowan, 4-star DE
  • RJ Mickens, 4-star DB
  • Henry Gray, 4-star DB
  • Sergio Allen, 4-star LB*
  • Phillip Webb, 4-star LB
  • Luke Hill, 4-star DB
  • Fred Davis, 4-star DB
  • Jordan Burch, 5-star DE
  • Myles Murphy, 5-star DE
  • Bryan Bresee, 5-star DE
  • Makhail Sherman, 5-star OLB
  • Tre Williams, 4-star DT
  • Kevin Swint, 4-star LB
  • Kalel Mulings, 4-star OLB
  • Timothy Smith, 4-star DT

Clemson has several talented guys that it is going after defensively. There’s not a specific position of focus, but I do think you’re going to see several defensive linemen signed in this class. The Tigers addressed a lot of their issues in the 2019 class, but it will be important to build depth and I think defensive tackle will be an important part of that depth-building process.

A few names to watch out for include 4-star DT Timothy Smith, 5-star DE Bryan Bresee (top player in the class) and 5-star DE Jordan Burch- an in-state product.

It’s a bit too early to know how this class will shape up, but this is where we’ll start and then progress from there.
