Clemson football is an underdog for the first time all season. ESPN FPI currently slightly favors Alabama over the Tigers in the National Championship.

The ESPN FPI for Clemson football’s matchup with Alabama in the National Championship currently favors the Crimson Tide in the slightest of margins.

The ESPN FPI has Alabama as a 51.4 percent favorite over the Tigers (48.6).

It’s interesting to see just how evenly matched the vast majority of media think these two teams are.

Clemson has garnered the respect of the vast majority of national pundits and most believe that the Tigers will compete with Alabama.

This Alabama team is not quite as good defensively as teams in the past, but they make up for it with a prolific offense.

For Clemson to beat the Crimson Tide, the Tigers are going to have to find a way to slow down Tua Tagovailoa and that Alabama offense. Trevor Lawrence and that Clemson offense will also need to find a way to move the ball and stay on the field.

The longer you can hold time of possession, the better chance you’re going to have if you’re Clemson football.

When you keep the Bama offense off the field and keep the Crimson Tide defense on the field, you’re winning. As the game progresses, you’ll start to see that defense wear down if you’re able to stay on the field.

I think we’re in for an all-out war.

Both of these teams are very good and are more than capable of winning this game. I’m interested in seeing the chess match played between Dabo Swinney and Nick Saban. Honestly, this one may come down to the final possession.

Trevor vs. Tua; a marketing masterpiece. dark. Next

We’re in for a good one Monday night, so be prepared. Can the Tigers find a way to even up the series with Alabama or will the Crimson Tide come away with back-to-back championships?
