Clemson Football: Top 5 moments in Cotton Bowl win over Notre Dame
2. The Dagger
I refer to it as “The Dagger.”
Late in the second quarter, Dabo Swinney elected to attempt a knockout punch. It did not disappoint.
The Tigers moved the ball right down the field and with nine seconds left, Trevor Lawrence threw a jump ball up to Tee Higgins in the end zone.
The result? One of the best catches of the year in all of College Football.
That catch put the Tigers up 23-3 heading into halftime and basically allowed the defense to close out the game in the second half.
