3. Freshman to Freshman…Twice

For everyone saying that Clemson would be fading away after this year, they have to think again.

The play that shifted the momentum to the Tigers’ side early in the game came not from two upperclassmen, but two talented freshmen.

Trevor Lawrence threw a fade-pass to fellow freshman Justyn Ross. Ross, after being held terribly, still came up with the catch and ran it in for a 52-yard touchdown.

Later in the second quarter, Ross would blow past his man and Lawrence would find him over the middle for yet another touchdown, this time a 42-yard pass.
