3. Freshman to Freshman…Twice
For everyone saying that Clemson would be fading away after this year, they have to think again.
The play that shifted the momentum to the Tigers’ side early in the game came not from two upperclassmen, but two talented freshmen.
Trevor Lawrence threw a fade-pass to fellow freshman Justyn Ross. Ross, after being held terribly, still came up with the catch and ran it in for a 52-yard touchdown.
Great throw by Trevor Lawrence, but AMAZING catch and run by Justyn Ross. With the 211-pound DB holding his arm, @_jross8 makes the snag AND THEN cranks it up to 18.22 MPH for the first TD of the game. #ClemsonvsNotreDame pic.twitter.com/W4PKS3jpc1

Later in the second quarter, Ross would blow past his man and Lawrence would find him over the middle for yet another touchdown, this time a 42-yard pass.
