Clemson Football: 5 Bold Predictions vs. Notre Dame in Cotton Bowl

2.  The Tiger secondary looks improved

Many believe Notre Dame’s key to winning is through the air.

I tend to agree.

I don’t believe the Irish will be able to run the ball at will. That means they’re going to need Ian Book to have a superb outing with that wide receiver corp. Clemson’s secondary has looked suspect all year, but I think Brent Venables has addressed some of those problems.

It may just be wishful thinking, but I think you’re going to see a better version of the defensive backfield here in the College Football Playoff.

Guys are going to be in position and that unit is going to leave this game as the most-improved unit of the season.
