According to the latest reports, Clemson football target Quavaris Crouch is trending towards signing with the Tennessee Volunteers.
The 2019 Clemson football recruiting class is one of the best in the nation.
The Tigers have a consensus top-five class and are looking to add a few more talented prospects to the mix before it’s all said and done.
One of those targets is 5-star LB Quavaris Crouch.
Crouch, who has also been recruited as a linebacker, is basically down to Tennessee and Clemson as his finalists. The Charlotte, North Carolina native has seemingly been a slight Clemson lean for the majority of his recruitment, but things seem to have changed just a bit as of late.
Crouch took an unofficial visit to Tennessee this weekend and it seems that the Volunteers have slowly cut the gap on the talented 5-star.
Following the visit, several recruiting insiders made their crystal ball predictions and chose that Tennessee would be his destination.
Today, following his surprise unofficial visit to Knoxville, four 247sports crystal ball predictions have been placed for Tennessee and 4* ATH Quavaris Crouch.

Thoughts:
Crouch is a talented athlete, no doubt. He has great explosiveness and I think he’ll be a top-notch player at the collegiate level, though I don’t think he’s a guy that comes in right away and starts, at least not for Clemson.
He will have a chance at Tennessee to come in and contribute right away. As a freshman, he’ll be a 3-4 style linebacker, but will grow out of that as he gets in the weight room. So, in some ways, Tennessee’s system may be more of a fit for him.
I do think he could fit in well with Clemson football should he choose the Tigers.
Crouch is planning to silently commit to a school and enroll early. He won’t be officially announcing his decision until January 5 when he plays in the All-American Bowl.
It will be interesting to follow his recruitment, but it seems right now that Tennessee may have gotten the last visit in for him.
I still think there’s a solid chance that the Tigers land Crouch when it’s all said and done, but this visit certainly isn’t something you’d like to see if you’re wanting a commitment from him.
