10. 1897: The first win

We have to start this list off with the first victory in Clemson football history against the Gamecocks.

It came in 1897, a year after the football program had been started at Clemson.

The Tigers lost the first ever matchup with South Carolina in 1896 by a score of 12-6. The next season, though, Clemson came out and picked up a 20-6 victory over the Gamecocks.

Little did that team know that a little more than a century later, Clemson would have 69 wins against South Carolina and hold a 62 percent winning percentage against them.
