5. Jake Bentley

This is one is probably an “in-the-moment” response, but I can see why Tiger fans feel this way.

Jake Bentley was supposed to be the savior Gamecock football when he stepped on campus a few years ago.

In 2016 after getting handed a 56-7 loss, Bentley decided to tell the media that he didn’t feel that Clemson was “that much better, if better at all” than the Gamecocks.

He didn’t help his cause by marching around and acting all cocky in pregame last season before the Gamecocks were handed another blowing defeat, this time 34-10 loss at home.
