Here are our picks against the spread for College Football Week 12 for some of the best games from around the nation Saturday.

Each week during the College Football season, Rubbing the Rock gives you our picks against the spread for the upcoming slate of games.

This week, we’ll take a look at four of the biggest games from around the country.

Don’t forget that we will release our official spread prediction on Clemson’s matchup with the Duke Blue Devils Friday morning.

  • Cincinnati at UCF

Current Spread: UCF -7

Spread Prediction:

The self-proclaimed 2017 National Champions UCF will take on the No. 19 Cincinnati Bearcats Saturday evening in the prime time ABC game. Yes, it’s that weak of a schedule.

Central Florida is currently on a 22-game winning streak and will be looking to make a statement with the eyes of the nation watching Saturday evening. I think the Knights get the job done and win the game by more than seven at home.

  • Iowa State at Texas

Current Spread: Texas -5

Spread Prediction:

Texas is at home and is riding high after finding a way to beat Texas Tech last weekend. I think the Longhorns take care of business against a shaky Iowa State team at home.

I’ll take Texas minus the five.

  • Syracuse at Notre Dame

Current Spread: Notre Dame -10.5

Spread Prediction:

Is this finally the week that Notre Dame is exposed?

The Fighting Irish just don’t look like a top-four team to me and Syracuse is seemingly continuing to get better. Could Eric Dungey and Co. go on the road and find a way to pull off the upset? I’m not sure, but I do think the Orange will keep the game close. Notre Dame hasn’t blown out many opponents all season- except Florida State.

I could be wrong for a second-straight week with Notre Dame, but I believe Syracuse at the very least covers the big 10.5-point spread.

  • Boston College at Florida State

Current Spread: Florida State +1.5

Spread Prediction:

BC Quarterback Anthony Brown was injured against Clemson this past weekend. There isn’t any word yet whether or not he will play, but I don’t think it really matters.

The spread is only 1.5 points in favor of the Eagles. As long as Boston College doesn’t have a hangover from last week’s loss to Clemson, they’ll easily cover that spread with AJ Dillon in the backfield.

The Eagles have a talented pass-rush that will take care of Florida State’s passing attack and their offense has the talent to get the job done.

So, to review. We’re taking:

  • UCF -7 vs. Cincinnati
  • Texas -5 vs. Iowa State
  • Syracuse +10.5 vs. Notre Dame
  • Boston College -1.5 vs. Florida State
