College Football 2018: Picks Against the Spread for Week 11
Ready for College Football Week 11? Here are our picks against the spread for several of the prominent games around the country this week.
We’ve only got three weeks of the College Football regular season remaining.
The season seems to have flashed right before our eyes. Let’s take a look at our picks against the spread for four games during week 11 of the College Football season.
- Ohio State at Michigan State
Current Spread: Michigan State +3.5
Spread Prediction:
I’m not really sure what to make of this game. I don’t believe in Ohio State. The Buckeyes are not a top-10 caliber team. They’ve got an elite quarterback and, really, that’s it.
But, I don’t believe in Michigan State either. The Spartans are in the top-20 despite having three losses. They’ll come out ready to go in this one, but I’m going to take Ohio State to still win and cover the spread as they try to stay alive in the College Football Playoff race.
- South Carolina at Florida
Current Spread: Florida -6
Spread Prediction:
South Carolina better come ready to play. I mean, the way the CFB Playoff committee has been, they could be ranked with a win this Saturday. Who cares about those three losses?
Unfortunately for the Gamecocks, I don’t think their offense is going to have as much success against Florida’s defense and the Gators will the game something like 24-17 right at the spread. Florida beats the spread.
- Mississippi State at Alabama
Current Spread: Alabama -23.5
Spread Prediction:
Mississippi State might be ranked according to the playoff committee, but let’s not pretend that the Bulldogs are an elite team.
Alabama is at home. The Crimson Tide cover the spread and win by more than 24 points.
- Florida State at Notre Dame
Current Spread: Notre Dame -16.5
Spread Prediction:
Notre Dame is without quarterback Ian Book in this one. Florida State is absolutely horrible. That means the Irish cover that 16.5-point spread, right? I’m not so sure.
Notre Dame hasn’t been dominant this season and I think you’re going to see the Seminoles come out looking to play spoiler.
I’m not saying that Florida State wins the game outright, but I do think the Seminoles keep the game within 16 points and at least threaten upset for a few quarters.
So, to review. We’re taking:
- Ohio State -3.5 vs. Michigan State
- Florida -6 vs. South Carolina
- Alabama -23.5 vs. Mississippi State
- Florida State +16.5 vs. Notre Dame
