Clemson football middle linebacker Tre Lamar has quietly had a solid season for the Tigers. He’s primed for a big game against Boston College this weekend.

The Clemson football defense has been one of the best in the nation so far.

We’ve talked a lot about the dominant defensive line led by guys like Christian Wilkins and Clelin Ferrell.

We talked a lot about the progression of the secondary and how the defensive backfield has gotten better through the games this season.

But, we haven’t talked a bunch about that linebacker corp.

One guy that is primed for a big game against Boston College is middle linebacker Tre Lamar. Lamar currently has 47 tackles and a couple of sacks on the season. He had 11 tackles against Georgia Southern and 10 tackles against Syracuse.

Primed for a big game…

For Boston College to have any kind of success against Clemson, they’re going to have to be able to run the ball with AJ Dillon.

That means Tre Lamar is going to have a lot of chances to make tackles and get in the backfield and create some havoc.

This is also the type of game that a linebacker like Lamar should enjoy. It’s going to feel like football weather out there and it’s going to be a physical matchup.

To me, that just spells success for a guy that is able to stuff the run like Lamar.

I’d expect him to have his best game of the season and it should be fun to watch him and that Clemson football defense go up against the physical front of Boston College and that running attack.
