Here’s our analysis and prediction for the game.
Analysis:
If you had asked me about this game earlier in the week, I would’ve told you that I thought it would be very close but that Clemson football would come away with the win.
The more film I’ve watched on Florida State, though, and the more confident I feel about the Tigers’ chances of not just winning, but winning big.
The big reason why? Florida State’s offensive line.
Look, you can talk about 4-stars and 5-stars all you want. We can talk about how good the Seminoles have been recruiting. We can talk about how they’ll come into this game looking to pull out all the stops.
But, at the end of the day, football is about blocking and tackling.
While Florida State’s defense is improving, the offensive line is not. When you have what is one of the worst offensive line units in the Power 5 going up against what is considered to be the best defensive line unit in all of College Football, it spells trouble.
Prediction:
Clemson 48, Florida State 10
I think the Tigers are due for a big day defensively and I believe the offense will build off of that. In the end, I just don’t think the Seminoles stand a chance. The best they can hope for is that the Tigers make some mistakes and that they keep the game close. I could be proven wrong, but the feeling I’m getting about this one is that the Tigers will come out and make quick work of Florida State.
