There are several solid match ups on the slate for this week. Here are our picks against the spread for College Football Week 8.
We’re already heading into week eight of the College Football season.
Here are our picks against the spread for four games around the country.
Keep in mind that we will give our Clemson football spread prediction tomorrow, so be on the lookout for that.
- Michigan at Michigan State
Current Spread: Michigan State +7
Spread Prediction:
I don’t know what to really expect in this game. Michigan has been playing pretty well since its loss to Notre Dame earlier in the year.
Michigan State lost a game to Northwestern and Arizona State, but beat Penn State last week. In the end, though, I think both of these teams are overrated. The Spartans aren’t a top-25 team and Michigan isn’t a top-seven team.
I’m taking the Wolverines minus the seven.
- Alabama at Tennessee
Current Spread: Tennessee +29
Spread Prediction:
Tennessee gets credit for beating a bad Auburn team and all of a sudden everyone wants to believe that the Vols are back.
Alabama wins this game and they win it by 30 Saturday.
- Mississippi State at LSU
Current Spread: LSU -6.5
Spread Prediction:
LSU beat Georgia handily last week and now people are talking about the Tigers as a top-five team. Currently, they have one of the strongest schedules in the nation and are playing pretty well. Now, I’m not going to say that they’ve beaten three top-10 teams when two of the teams aren’t even in the top-25 anymore.
I think the young team has a bit of a hangover Saturday. I don’t think they lose the game, but it’s closer than a touchdown. I’m thinking something like 31-27 or 30-24 LSU.
- Oregon at Washington State
Current Spread: Washington State -3
Spread Prediction:
Washington State is a three-point favorite in this one.
I know that the Cougars will be pumped up with ESPN College GameDay coming to Pullman and that home field advantage will be tough for Justin Herbert and the Oregon offense, but I think the Ducks get the job done and, not only cover the spread but win the game outright.
So, to review, we’re taking:
- Michigan -7 vs. Michigan State
- Alabama -29 vs. Tennessee
- Mississippi State +6.5 vs. LSU
- Oregon +3 vs. Washington State
