Biggest Surprise: Chase Brice

Perhaps the biggest surprise of the season for Clemson football came when Kelly Bryant announced he was transferring.

After Trevor Lawrence was injured against Syracuse, Chase Brice was called upon to lead the Tiger offense in a game that Clemson trailed.

While he hasn’t been a starter, Chase Brice may very well be the biggest surprise of the season for the Tigers. He was originally a third-string quarterback that came into the game and made the biggest play of the season and led the Tigers to a victory.

If Clemson loses that game, they are a game back in the ACC Atlantic. The Tigers may not even win the division without Chase Brice’s gutsy performance and that certainly should be recognized.
