1. Making a Statement

This is a statement game for Clemson football.

Many national analysts have absolutely abandoned the Tigers in the College Football Playoff discussion.

People are saying how Clemson is “overrated” and “not as good as teams like Bama, Georgia, Oklahoma, Notre Dame or Ohio State.” Some are even saying that LSU should be ranked ahead of the Tigers.

This week is a chance for the Tigers to make a statement.

If they come in, put up a lot of points and look good in doing so, it will send a message to the rest of the nation that Clemson is coming and that they are getting better each week.

It will also show the nation that Clemson is going to be just fine with Trevor Lawrence at quarterback. I think it will be important to look good in this game and finish off the midway point of the regular season with a high note.
