Clemson Football: 10 Reasons the Tigers Win the National Championship

6. Offensive Line Continuity

The offensive line in 2017 was about as inconsistent as it has been in recent years.

The Tigers had a few games where they played really well, but more times than not, they had a few good series and then would blow a few big assignments.  Mitch Hyatt, the leader of the offensive line, also seemed to take a step backward.

This year, everything we’ve heard has been good about the offensive line. Hyatt came back looking to prove himself. Clemson also has Justin Falcinelli returning at center with a good group of guys around them. I’m interested to see how Sean Pollard looks at guard and how TreMayne Anchrum is able to take over that right tackle position on a full-time basis.

Clemson’s also got some really talented second-stringers, led by 5-star freshman Jackson Carman.
