2. Tanner Muse
Tanner Muse is as physical as they come.
He is the type of head-hunter that you love to have at linebacker. But, Muse plays safety.
Unfortunately, that aggressiveness was used against him at times last season. Muse is going to be relied upon to play that safety role much smarter this year with no Van Smith.
He certainly has the physicality aspect. The question is if he can master the other aspects of the game. Can he recognize a run or pass? Can he be effective in pass-coverage?
I think he can, but we have to see it on the field first for an extended period of time.
