4. The guys have a bad day

Here’s a prediction I’m guaranteed to get right.

Every single fall camp it never fails. We always hear one specific day that Dabo Swinney comes to the media and completely trashes the team’s effort.

Normally, it’s right in the middle of fall camp. You’ll hear quotes like “We’re going to have to play a lot better if we’re wanting to win…”

This can be taken two ways: First, I think that you just have 18-23 year olds who sometimes are tempted to not give everything that they have when they get into the thick of practice.

Second, I think it’s a tactic by the coaching staff to push the team when they may feel like complacency is setting in.

Either way, we’ll hear about a bad day from the team at some point.
