23. Andre Ellington

When I think of Andre Ellington, I think of a workhorse.

Early on in his Clemson football career, Ellington was mainly used to give CJ Spiller a breather. As he progressed, though, he became the sole carrier of the football for the Tigers.

He rushed more than 200 times for over 1,000 yards both his junior and senior seasons (2011, 2012). That’s pretty impressive considering how much Clemson liked to throw the ball during that timeframe.

As a matter of fact, I can remember Clemson fans getting frustrated when Chad Morris went away from Ellington to pass the ball.

Ellington became one of the most consistent running backs in Clemson history.
