Clemson Football: Tigers Ranked No. 3 in NCAA 19 Ratings Projections

SB Nation released an article detailing what NCAA Football 19 ratings would look like for each team. Clemson football was rated No. 3 overall.

The second week of July used to mean so much to not only Clemson football fans, but to College Football fans everywhere.

This sacred week was the week that EA Sport’s NCAA Football Video Game was released.

Because of the NCAA rules about players getting paid and the “iffiness” that came with using their likeness, EA decided to cut out the NCAA games altogether.

In doing so, the company left a hole in the hearts of millions of football and video game fans alike.

The game was spectacular. Every year, the graphics seemed to get better and it was a lot of fun to play. You had the option to play Dynasty Mode or Road To Glory where you would play as an athlete you created. A cool feature with both of the modes was the fact that you could save senior classes and load them on the NFL game as Draft Classes, not losing your players.

Even though the game had to cease (at least for this year), it still lives on in our hearts. That’s apparent in this article released by SB Nation.

NCAA Football ’19 Team Ratings: Clemson

The organization released projections on what each team’s roster ratings would be for this coming season if we did have an NCAA Football 19 video game.

The Tigers came in third overall.

According to SB Nation, Clemson posted a rating of 88 on offense and 98 on defense, coming out to an overall rating of 94.

Alabama, who ranked No. 1, had an offensive rating of 91 and defensive rating of 96, culminating in an overall rating of 95. Ohio State had a 95 for offense and a 91 for defense, posting a 95 overall.

I appreciate the article, but I think Clemson is still better than an 88 on offense. The Tigers will be better along the offensive line and have a ton of talented skill position players. I know they have some things to prove, but an 88 seems a bit low.
