3. Miami’s success in the coastal division

The Coastal Division is always an enigma.

From one year to the next, we never really know what to expect.

Miami comes into the season with some returning starters off of a team that finished inside the top-15 last year.

The Hurricanes have a QB competition going on, but I think it’s fair to say that Malik Rosier is probably the favorite. Of course, redshirt freshman N’Kosi Perry may have something to say about that.

I think it will be interesting to see how Miami compares to the rest of the Coastal Division. I expect Virginia Tech to take a step back with the losses they suffered on the defensive side of the ball. Could Georgia Tech rise back to prominence? It seems every year the Yellow Jackets come back into play when no one is expecting them.

There’s also Duke, which could be a darkhorse to this whole division.

Right now, though, I think Miami has to be considered your favorite to come out of that side of the conference.
