Bleacher Report’s Kerry Miller talked about Clemson football freshman Trevor Lawrence. What he had to say many Tiger fans may not like.

National analysts have been really high on Clemson football freshman Trevor Lawrence.

As a matter of fact, Phil Steele predicted that Lawrence would win the starting job and lead the Tigers to the College Football Playoff as a freshman.

Nobody has had anything but good things to say about the Tigers heading into the season.

While Bleacher Report’s Kerry Miller still had positive things to say about the freshman, what he predicted many Tiger fans probably won’t like.

Bleacher Report’s Bold Prediction:

Miller said that Lawrence is a talented player, but that he would not play any meaningful snaps in 2018 barring an injury to Kelly Bryant.

He said that Lawrence will get some “garbage time,” but will not beat out Bryant for that QB spot.

While I like the respect that Miller has for Kelly Bryant, I think he is underestimating Trevor Lawrence.

To me, I think it just shows his misunderstanding of Lawrence’s talent when you look at his prediction for Georgia. He believes that Justin Fields will appear in every single game for the Bulldogs, but that he will never surpass Jake Fromm.

See, to me, Fromm’s position is much safer than Kelly Bryant’s.

In my opinion, I think it’s more likely that Lawrence appears in every game, but doesn’t surpass Bryant at the starting position. Right now, I don’t see anyway that Lawrence doesn’t see significant playing time.

I may be wrong, but I just think a guy as talented as Trevor Lawrence is too good to keep on the sidelines. Here is a link to the full article if you’d like to read it.
