3. Duke Blue Devils

When: Saturday, November 17th

Game Designation: Military Appreciation Day

David Cutcliffe has done an excellent job with Duke over the past few seasons.

The Blue Devils are in position to win six or seven games this season. This one comes on our list a little bit ahead of Louisville because of the rareness.

You hardly ever get to see Duke on a Clemson football field.

This could be one of the few times that you see a ranked Duke team, or at least a respectable Duke team, set foot in Death Valley.

As a matter of fact, Duke isn’t set to even be on Clemson’s schedule again until 2023 and that’s a road game. Who knows the next time the Blue Devils will return to Death Valley?

There’s also another reason that this game is special. It will be Senior Day and Military Appreciation Day. Yes, we will still have one more home game left, but Clemson will celebrate its seniors this day in November. Guys like Christian Wilkins, Clelin Ferrell, Austin Bryant, Mitch Hyatt, Kelly Bryant, Adam Choice, and others will be recognized as they run down the hill.

In addition to seeing those guys, Military Appreciation Day is so special in Clemson. It’s worth a visit if you’ve never been, without a doubt.
