4. Tight End Production

Clemson got nearly no production from the tight end spot in 2018.

Coming off a season where you had one of the best tight ends in school history in Jordan Leggett, that was certainly something that Tiger fans had taken for granted.

Not having the tight end as a legitimate passing threat really, in my opinion, hurt Clemson’s offense as a whole.

The Tigers will need a guy like Milan Richard, Garrett Williams or even freshman Braden Galloway to step up in 2018 and not just be a blocker, but also a receiver.

Leggett had a tough time getting the “blocking part” of the game mastered, but made up for it with what he was able to do in the passing game. Towards the end of his career, he was doing a pretty good job with all of it.

Having a tight end that is versatile enough to be a lead-blocker and a threatening wide receiver is a valuable have and Clemson will need that this year for whoever takes over at that quarterback position.
