Clemson Football: 5 Reasons Trevor Lawrence can win the Heisman as a freshman

2. He makes everyone around him better

A quality of a Heisman winner is that he makes everyone around him better.

If Trevor Lawrence is considered a contender for the prestigious trophy, it will be because he does the very same thing.

Maybe Kelly Bryant is unable to get the ball downfield, but Lawrence is. In doing so, he makes a guy like Tee Higgins better.

Opening up the downfield passing game makes the running game easier. All of a sudden, Travis Etienne and Tavien Feaster are getting more yards at a better pace.

Before you know it, the entire offense is performing at a higher level. They are playing with more confidence and are more explosive.

That’s what I think Trevor Lawrence gives this team that proves him to be a Heisman Trophy contender.
