2. Kelly Bryant

There are a lot of Clemson football fans that have given up on Kelly Bryant.

While it may seem that he has too many flaws to be a Heisman contender, Bryant may actually have the best shot at winning the award in 2018 compared to all of his other teammates.

If Bryant came out and dominated defenses that he was just flat-out better than, wouldn’t he almost get a pass to New York as the starting QB on a 12-0 or 11-1 Clemson football team? I think there’s a good chance he would.

What if Kelly Bryant strengthened his passing game and continued to become a more prolific athlete? I think a 3,000 passing and 1,000 rushing season could certainly be in his wheelhouse.

A quarterback who leads his team to the College Football Playoff with those kinds of numbers would be hard to overlook by voters. As a matter of fact, Kelly could very quickly become the favorite to win the award, especially if some of the teams that have guys like Bryce Love, Will Grier and Shea Patterson on them don’t perform as well.
