Clemson football was listed in the top group for one of the nation’s best tight ends. The Tigers are in need of a tight end commitment for the 2019 class.

The 2019 Clemson football recruiting cycle is in full-swing, as it has been for the past few months.

It seems like almost every week we find out that another elite prospect has the Tigers inside their top group.

Clemson already has 12 commitments for the 2019 class, but the Tigers will look to at least double that before this cycle is over.

One of the positions the Tigers are recruiting heavily is tight end. Clemson football whiffed on 4-star prospect Luke Deal, who committed to Auburn last week.

With that being said, another talented prospect has Clemson inside his top-five.

2019 Clemson Football Prospect Analysis…

Hudson Henry, the nation’s No. 1 tight end, released his top-five Friday. Clemson joined a group of schools including Arkansas, Wisconsin, Stanford, and Penn State.

Henry is an Arkansas product and isn’t expected to leave his home state. His dad and two brothers played in-state and he is a heavy lean to the Razorbacks.

He will take official visits to all five of the schools in the fall, but it seems to be an uphill battle for Clemson football to win his services.

Henry is 6-5 and 225 pounds. I really like his balance as a tight end. Many tight ends have become pure receivers, but he is also a very good blocker.

He’d make a great addition to the Clemson roster, especially at that tight end group, but I’m just not seeing it right now. The good thing is that anything is possible with this coaching staff. If they can get a recruit on campus, they have a chance.

Next: Does Johnson's departure lead to a Dual-QB system?

They certainly have a chance with him too and it will be interesting to see if any school can lure him away from Arkansas at this point.
