Clemson Football 2018: Predicting Post-Spring Depth Chart for OL
The Clemson football program will release a post-spring depth chart in the next couple of weeks. Here’s our prediction for how the OL will shape out.
The Clemson football coaching staff always releases a “post-spring” or “summer” depth chart during the month of May.
We’re close to a month out of spring practice, which means that the staff has had time to go through and make decisions on where players stand and let those players know exactly what they need to do in the summer.
We’ve taken a look at several position groups and predicted how we think they will fall when the depth chart is released.
Today, we will complete our predictions for the offense with a look at the offensive line.

Analysis:
I don’t know that true-freshman Jackson Carman has done quite enough yet to earn a starting spot, but I think he’s getting close.
The coaching staff has been cross-training him, as they do with all the offensive linemen, and I think he will be primed to make a run at a starting position this fall.
Right now, I have him penciled in at three spots on the two-deep. I think before it’s all said and done, he takes one of those jobs and my eye is on the right tackle spot for now.
There’s a lot of talent and big bodies on the offensive line, but the Tigers will have to look to replace Tyrone Crowder and Taylor Hearn from the line last season.
Next: Will Hunter Renfrow lead Clemson in receptions?
I think this group could prove to be much better and deeper than that of last year’s, but it all remains to be seen for the time being.
Overall, though, I think we see some talented guys take over roles and show their improvement this coming fall.
