Clemson Football Recruiting: 4-star 2019 DT has Tigers in top-5
The 2019 Clemson football recruiting class proves to be one of the largest in quite some time. A 4-star defensive tackle had the Tigers in his top-five.
4-star defensive tackle DJ Dale announced his top schools via Twitter yesterday and had Clemson football in his top-five.
Dale, a 330 pound defensive lineman out of Alabama, visited Clemson’s Junior Day on March 3 and it seemed that he had a great time in Tiger Town.
Here’s a look at his profile, film analysis, and an early look into the crystal ball.
Clemson Football Recruiting Profile:
Name: DJ Dale
Position: Defensive Tackle
Height: 6-2
Weight: 330
Home Town: Pinson, Alabama
Star Rating: 4-star, No. 10 overall DT, No. 10 overall player in Alabama
Film Analysis:
In my opinion, I’m not sure that Dale is a full 330. He is in the 300s, but isn’t quite that heavy. Of course, I could be wrong about that.
His motor is the first thing that I notice when watching any of his film. He never stops and keeps his legs moving. Dale is the type of guy that continues to move and fight through the interior of the line even when things aren’t given to him right away.
He’s still got some time to develop and I believe that he’ll make a solid defensive tackle at the next level wherever he chooses to go to school.

An Early Crystal Ball Look:
It’s tough to really tell where Dale is leaning at the moment. Right now, his top-five schools are Clemson, Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, and Florida State.
I would assume that he will take official visits to each of the schools, but right now I would favor him to go to an in-state school like Alabama or Auburn. If he goes out of state, I think Clemson football could, without a doubt, be in the running.
