5. Good Guard Play

Let’s start with the most obvious reason.

If Clemson basketball wins the NCAA Tournament, it will be because of their guard play.

The Tigers have gotten some of the best guard play in the tournament thus far. Shelton Mitchell, Gabe DeVoe, and Marcquise Reed have meshed well all season.

For the Tigers to win an NCAA Tournament, it will be because these guys continue to play well. Clemson will need them to shoot well, play solid defense, and refrain from committing too many turnovers.

All of that, in addition to hitting clutch shots, is what will lead Clemson to the promise land.
