Opponent Analysis:

Auburn has not played the same level of basketball since they lost Anfernee McLemore to a gruesome injury back in February.

The Tigers were eliminated in the SEC Tournament by Alabama and barely defeated College of Charleston on Friday. The Cougars had a chance to win, but Auburn hit some clutch shots down the stretch to take the victory.

Auburn is led by guards Mustapha Heron (16.6 PPG) and Bryce Brown (16.0). Jared Harper also adds 13.5 points per game.

Keys to a Victory:

The key to this game will remain in the guard play.

Both of these teams have solid guard play and I think it may come down to who is shooting the ball well and who can lock down on the defensive side of the ball.

For Clemson basketball, they need to get Gabe DeVoe and Marcquise Reed going. It will also be key for Elijah Thomas to take advantage of his size down low.

Prediction:

This should be a good one. Both of these teams are really solid, but I think Clemson is playing better basketball at this point.

I’m taking the ACC Tigers to go on to the Sweet 16.
