Clemson Basketball: Tigers move up in AP Poll, NCAA Tourney seed
The Clemson basketball team continues to rise up the AP Poll and the NCAA Tournament chain. Here’s the latest on the Tigers after a solid week.
The Clemson basketball team defeated North Carolina at home on Tuesday and Wake Forest on the road on Saturday.
As a result, the Tigers moved up to No. 16 in the nation.
In the rest of the ACC, Virginia came into the rankings No. 2, Duke at No. 9, North Carolina at No. 21, and Miami at No. 25.
In addition to moving up in the AP Poll, Clemson basketball moved up in the latest Bracketology metrics and projections, as well.
Bracketology Projections:
Your Clemson Tigers are a No. 3 seed in ESPN’s latest Bracketology. CBS has the Tigers as a No. 2 seed in its latest Bracketology.
That’s right, Clemson basketball fans.
We are in February with just seven games remaining in the 2018 regular season and Clemson is projected as high as a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
The Tigers are No. 4 in the RPI and have one of the most impressive resumes in the country.
Basically, at this point, the NCAA Tournament is almost a guarantee assuming Clemson just doesn’t fall off the deep end in the last seven games.
To me, this is an amazing thing to see.

I don’t think people realize the great job that Brad Brownell has done this season with this Tigers team. He finally has the talent he’s been pushing for and the guys have bought into the system.
I love what I’ve seen from Marcquise Reed and Gabe DeVoe. Elijah Thomas has done a great job in the front-court as well.
