Clemson basketball coach Brad Brownell needs votes from fans to help him advance in the INFINITI Coaches’ Charity Challenge.

The INFINITI Coaches’ Charity Challenge involves 48 coaches and their charity of choice. Each charity receives $1,000 just for the coaches participation, but can receive $100,000 if the coach advances through four rounds to be the last one standing on March 11.

Over a 10-week span, coaches can advance and the donation increases each round. If Brownell makes the final 24, the donation to his charity becomes $7,500. First round voting is underway and ends at noon on Jan. 21.

Brownell’s charity is The Outdoor Dream Foundation, the charity he chose for his three prior years of participating in the Challenge. He has raised a total of $25,000 for the non-profit organization.

Outdoor Dream grants wishes to kids who have been diagnosed with terminal or life-threatening illnesses.

Ironically, yesterday, Caleb Crisp, 19, of Travelers Rest, who had a wish granted by the foundation, passed away. Crisp lost his 10-year battle with stage four Hodgkins lymphoma. Through the foundation, his wish to hunt deer was realized with the help of donations like the one from the challenge.

Last year, Sandi Crisp, Caleb’s mom, talked to The Greenville News about her son’s experience with Outdoor Dream Foundation.

"“It’s just awesome,” Sandi Crisp said. “It helps to … make up for some of the trauma and everything these kids have had to go through. It helps make it a little bit better.”"

You can vote for Brownell the traditional way by clicking here, voting on Instagram, or Twitter. To vote on Instagram, you must take a picture of yourself calling a timeout in a black and white filter, use the #Time2Vote hashtag and include #CoachBradBrownell in the caption. On Twitter, just use #Time2Vote and @Coach_Brownell in the tweet. Retweets are also counted as a vote.

A vote for Brownell can give other kids like Caleb, a chance to be active and experience the outdoors while they continue to fight for their lives.

It is worth noting that a vote can be made on the INFINITI Coaches’ Charity Challenge, Instagram and Twitter websites for a total of three votes per day.
