Clemson football may have the most talent at the quarterback spot as a group in the nation. Could the Tigers be looking to revolutionize the position?

Clemson football has stockpiled talent at the quarterback position.

The Tigers have Kelly Bryant, who led them to a College Football Playoff berth last season. Behind him, there’s sophomore Hunter Johnson, who was a 5-star, Chase Brice, a 4-star who redshirted last season, Zerrick Cooper, a 4-star when he was recruited, and Tucker Israel, who broke all of the Florida passing records.

Oh yeah, 5-star Trevor Lawrence will also enter the equation this spring as he enrolled early.

Obviously, we expect this position to suffer some attrition. There’s been a lot of rumors that Zerrick Cooper will be transferring in the spring or summer.

Hunter Johnson or Trevor Lawrence could very well transfer if they didn’t win the job next season.

But, what if the Tigers are about the revolutionize the world of College Football?

“If you don’t have one quarterback, you don’t have a quarterback.”

This quote has been what most successful programs have lived by forever.

But, what if Clemson football is about to revolutionize the whole world? What if there were packages where you put two quarterbacks on the field at the same time?

What if Kelly Bryant had specialized packages run just for him?

What if Hunter Johnson or Trevor Lawrence handled the majority of the passing duties? Could Clemson prove that the quarterback spot could be a shared position?

Most likely, we will see much of the same with just one quarterback when it’s all said and done.

But, I’m ready for spring ball and to see if we could see some tweaks in the offense that would allow these talented guys to get on the field.

Only time will tell, but it’s certainly something interesting to think about here in January.
