Clemson Football: Xavier Thomas continuing to recruit for Tigers
2018 Clemson football commit Xavier Thomas may be signing his NLI on Wednesday, but he is still recruiting for the Tigers.
Ever since committing to Clemson football back in April, Xavier Thomas has been recruiting hard for the Tigers.
On Monday night, Thomas appeared on Clemson Sports Talk’s show with Lawton Swann and discussed several things, including his commitment to Clemson and to building a program in Tiger Town.
Thomas told Swann that one of the big reasons he decided to commit to Clemson football came down to Trevor Lawrence.
The two were pretty good friends and he knew after hearing that Lawrence was going to be a Tiger that Clemson wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
Another interesting point came when Swann asked Thomas who he felt had the greatest chance to be a Tiger.
Thomas gave the names Cade Mays, KJ Henry, and Justyn Ross.
Thoughts:
After football, Xavier Thomas could have a career in sales. Thomas does such a great job “recruiting” for the Clemson football program and it’s awesome to see him reaching out to other top high school stars.
Obviously, no one knows what the fate of Mays, Henry, or Ross will be at this point, but I think Clemson has a good chance at landing all three.
I especially like the Tigers’ chances of getting Henry, who is set to announce on Wednesday.
Next: Dabo Swinney's coaching tree expanding once again
It will be interesting to see how these things unfold over the next couple of days and weeks, but there’s no doubting Xavier Thomas’s love for Clemson and his commitment to being a Tiger.
