2018 Clemson football target and 5-star KJ Henry cancelled his visit to Alabama, originally scheduled for this weekend, according to recruiting websites.
2018 Clemson football target and 5-star defensive end KJ Henry cancelled his visit to Alabama this weekend, according to several recruiting websites.
This is coming on the heels of Dabo Swinney, Brent Venables and Todd Bates all coming to visit Henry the night before.
It was said that Henry was considering Clemson, Georgia, Virginia Tech, South Carolina, and Alabama.
The 5-star product out Clemmons, North Carolina is rated as No. 3 defensive end in the nation, behind Clemson football commit Xavier Thomas, who is ranked No. 1.
Analysis:
This would be a huge get for the Tigers, no doubt.
Henry is long and athletic. He fires off the ball quickly and is the type of guy that presents problems for opposing offenses because of his explosiveness.
He has been one that Dabo Swinney and his staff have been after for quite some time and, at this point, it looks like they may have gotten him.
From everything we can gather, it looks as if Clemson is the clear favorite to win his services now. Henry will be announcing his decision at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20 at his high school.
It will be interesting to see what happens with him over the next couple of weeks, but you can’t have both Dabo Swinney and Brent Venables in your house and it not leave some kind of lasting impression on you.

It would be a lot of fun to see Xaiver Thomas and KJ Henry line up on opposite sides of the defensive line and I believe the two would be forces to be reckoned with. Only time will tell, but it seems that Henry is a heavy Clemson lean at this point.
