Clemson Football vs. Alabama: What time is the Sugar Bowl?
Clemson football will take on the Alabama Crimson Tide in the Sugar Bowl in the CFB Playoff semifinals. The game time for the matchup has been set.
The No. 1 ranked Clemson football team will take on the Alabama Crimson Tide for the third-straight year in the College Football Playoff.
The first two times were in the last two national championship games.
This year, the Tigers will play Alabama in the semifinal round of the College Football Playoff in the Allstate Sugar Bowl on New Year’s Day.
The game time has been set for the game.
According to AL.com, Clemson and Alabama will play the second matchup of the day at 8 p.m. eastern time and 7 p.m. central time.
Oklahoma and Georgia, who will play in the Rose Bowl, will play at 5 p.m. eastern time. That will actually be 2 p.m. pacific time, which is interesting.
So, be prepared for a late night, Tiger fans.
I would imagine that the game could get pushed back a little later than 8 p.m. and it very well may be closer to 8:30 p.m. before kickoff.
Both games will be broadcasted on ESPN.
It was also announced today who would be calling the game.
Initial Thoughts:
It seems like an eternity until we see the Tigers play football again.
We’ve got 25 days until kickoff. Between this time, we will celebrate Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve.
That being said, the game truly is right around the corner.
In my opinion, Clemson is the early favorite to win this game. The Tigers have the better offense and the deeper defense.
Overall, it seems to me like a 10-point game in favor of Clemson, but both coaching staffs will have nearly a month to prepare and that may be an equalizer of some sort.
