Clemson Football: Ticket prices for Sugar Bowl already skyrocketing

It was revealed just a couple of days ago that Clemson football would face Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. Ticket prices, as a result, have skyrocketed.

The Clemson football team will travel down to New Orleans to take on the Alabama Crimson Tide in the Allstate Sugar Bowl on New Year’s Day.

The Tigers and Tide will meet on the field for the third-straight time. It will be a rubber match, of sorts, for both teams.

The winner will head on to the National Championship in Atlanta, Georgia.

So, if you’re trying to head to the game in New Orleans, it looks as if you’re going to pay a pretty penny, as expected.

Tickets for the game off of the Sugar Bowl website have been sold out for quite some time.

To get them, you will either need to buy through the school or off a third-party website. You can also purchase a travel package through Clemson at PrimeSport.

What are the cheapest prices?

Starting with the travel packages: The cheapest travel package is $685 per person. That doesn’t include your game ticket. It is strictly the room and access to a few events.

Travel packages increase in price from that point depending on how you want to get there and how long you want to stay, but none of them include your game ticket.

The cheapest ticket off of Ticket Master, which the Sugar Bowl indicates as the “official secondary market option” for buying will cost about $285 apiece.

Now, that’s not too bad, but you will be up in the rafters in one of the end zones. The Mercedes-Benz Superdome is a great atmosphere and if you’re just wanting to be there, this would be an option for you. Of course, you still have to rent a hotel room, pay for food, and pay for travel, whatever that may be.

What if I want to be a “baller?”

Let’s say you want to have the best seat available to you and you want the best package possible to watch the Tigers advance to their third-straight national championship game.

There’s a lot of options to you, as far as travel and hotels are concerned, but the tickets are simple.

I would recommend buying tickets in Section 141 on Row 6. That would put you just six rows away from the action on the 45-yard line. Prices for those seats are $2,040 apiece, but that’s how you watch the game in style.

You’d be submerged in the atmosphere of the super dome on the Clemson football sideline with great seats. You can’t ask much more than that.

If you are looking for tickets, I’d encourage you to buy soon. Prices will, most likely, continue to rise as we get closer to New Year’s as they did last year in the national championship game.

New Orleans is not a long trip for Bama fans and I’d expect them to turn out in droves. The good thing is, however, Tiger fans travel just as good as any fanbase in America.
