No. 4 Alabama was the last team to get into the College Football Playoffs and some people are not happy about it.

FOX Sports Undisputed with Skip and Shannon co-host Skip Blayless thinks Alabama didn’t deserve inclusion in the College Football Playoffs.

His show airs weekly Mon-Fri. at 9:30 a.m. ET, but he could not wait to express his displeasure with the Committee’s selection of Alabama, so yesterday, he decided to go live on Facebook.

During his rant, he was blatantly honest about Alabama head coach Nick Saban relative to college football and the Playoffs Committee.

“This is the all-time travesty. I think, honestly, that Nick Saban runs college football. That’s all that I can figure out is that he has got tentacles into that committee,” he continued. “They’re afraid of him, and they want Bama in the final four.”

Bayless thinks that Ohio State was robbed and is better than Alabama. Specifically, he points out that the offensive and defensive lines are better. He also thinks that Wisconsin would beat Alabama.

According to him, the Big Ten is the toughest conference in college football and the SEC is ranked fourth best. So he is also bothered by the Big Ten being shutout of the playoffs and the SEC getting two teams in.

Although not an Ohio State fan, the Vanderbilt graduate and Oklahoma fan, continued to praise the Buckeyes and said that they pass the “eye test.” Most people might disagree with the “eye test” proclamation, especially since they struggled with Wisconsin, and losses to Iowa and the Sooners were by an average of 23 points.

But now since Ohio State is out, his disdain with the Committee’s selection of Alabama has strangely made him root for them in the Sugar Bowl against Clemson football.

“Let’s just say, I will be rooting for Alabama in its semifinal game.”

Well, rooting for them to eventually face Oklahoma.

“I just hope that Oklahoma can get by Georgia. I’m pretty sure they can and that Baker Mayfield gets to plant his flag on Nick Saban’s defense, because he will torch Nick Saban’s defense.”

Apparently, he has a lot of confidence in Oklahoma. And that confidence may come from their 31-16 win over Ohio State and that Oklahoma torched Saban’s defense for 45 points in the 2013 Sugar Bowl.

Even though he wants Alabama to win, Bayless didn’t dismiss that Clemson could possibly beat Alabama.

He just grudgingly wants the Oklahoma/Bama matchup.

Of course, the alternative could mean a third meeting between his Sooners and a Venables defense that could spoil his team’s hopes of winning the national title. Clemson and Venables are 2-0 versus Oklahoma. In 2014, Oklahoma got torched 40-6 and a Mayfield led high scoring offense was held to 17 points by the Tigers in the 2015 Orange Bowl.

Bayless’s assertion of Ohio State passing the “eye test” may make him seem crazy by some college football fans but based on the history between Clemson and Oklahoma. He is indeed a smart man to prefer the matchup with Bama instead of the Tigers.
