For the second straight week, ESPN voters believe that Clemson football will fall. This time they believe it will be at the hands of the Miami Hurricanes.
The ESPN voters just don’t like Clemson football for some reason.
Last week, they picked South Carolina to beat the Tigers. This week, they are picking the Miami Hurricanes to beat Clemson in the ACC Championship game.
According to ESPN, more than 30,000 people voted and 55 percent of those believe that Miami will be the victor when it’s all said and done in Charlotte on Saturday night.
Thoughts:
To me, there’s just too much for Miami to overcome playing Clemson football in this one. I think the Hurricanes are a very talented team and, most likely, one of the best teams the Tigers have faced all season.
Unfortunately, I just don’t think they can get it done.
They would have to beat Clemson in what will be a pro-Tiger atmosphere with a quarterback that is mentally damaged after being pulled last week in the loss to Pittsburgh.
The Hurricane defense is very good, but they haven’t faced any offenses as talented as the one they will face on Saturday.
Miami is also down two of their top receivers, which doesn’t bode well for their offense, either. The Hurricanes will need to run the ball in order to get any kind of offense going and I think the Tigers will have that sniffed out.
The emotion may keep Miami in the game for a little while, but we learned from South Carolina that you can’t win a game solely on emotion.

In my opinion, Clemson’s talent takes over in the second half and they win this one somewhat easily to pick up their third straight conference championship.
