Clemson Football: The Top 5 Historical Moments for the Tigers vs. FSU

2011:  We will rock you..Again

Capping off our list is the 2011 35-30 win over Florida State.

Clemson had just beaten Auburn in Death Valley the week before and now were tasked with beating an FSU team ranked No. 11 in the land.

A true-freshman by the name of Sammy Watkins proved his worth, as well as quarterback Tajh Boyd for the Tigers. Boyd finished with 344 yards passing and three touchdowns.

The music cut off, but the crowd didn’t stop. The sound of 82,000 Tiger fans chanting “We will rock you” as Boyd lined up in victory formation filled the air that Saturday afternoon.

That game was loud from start-to-finish. As a matter of fact, we never sat down one time from the beginning when the game kicked off.

Obviously, some of the newer match ups in 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016 have also been great games.

The winner of those games has gone on to win the ACC Atlantic each time and there’s no doubt there will be many more classics played between these two programs in the coming years.
