The Bowden Bowl takes a Clemson turn

Clemson’s longest winning streak over Florida State took place from 2005-2007 when the Tigers beat the Seminoles three times in a row.

This period basically marked the end of the Bowden Bowl and, for the first time ever, the rivalry started to take a Clemson turn.

The Tigers won 35-14 in 2005, 27-20 in 2006, and 24-18 in 2007. Guys like James Davis, Chansi Stuckey, Charlie Whitehurst, Aaron Kelly, and C.J. Spiller made huge impacts in those three games.

In 2006, Florida State came into a home match up with Clemson ranked No. 9 in the land.

The tide had turned, at least in the Bowden Bowl.

Unfortunately, Bowden could never get over the eight win mark consistently and the Tigers were not able to win the ACC Atlantic during those years, which led to a new coach stepping in

A guy by the name of Dabo Swinney.
