Clemson Football: Belk Bowl trolls NC State’s Bradley Chubb
Clemson football defeated the NC State Wolfpack in Raleigh on Saturday. The Belk Bowl had to have their say on what was happening on the field.
Clemson football escaped Raleigh with a 38-31 victory over the NC State Wolfpack on Saturday.
It was a hard-fought game on bot sides and, in my opinion, was what championship games were made of.
One of the interesting stories of the day, though, had to do with Clemson football quarterback Kelly Bryant and NC State defensive end Bradley Chubb.
Chubb, on three instances, took Bryant’s towel and was warned on the last one. He was never given a flag for unsportsmanlike conduct.
NC State coach Dave Doeren never took it upon himself to stop either, but who would have thought he would?
Instead, Doeren told Chubb to “let his play speak for itself” after being warned by the officials.
Like the NCAA rules expert says in the video, it’s cute the first time. After that, however, it gets kind of old and, in my opinion, he should’ve been flagged. If he’s flagged, that gives Clemson an extra touchdown as the last one was down near the goal line.
Anyway, during the game, the Belk Bowl took notice of the defensive end’s actions and decided to take to Twitter.
Chubb is a great player with a ton of skill, but I do think it’s funny that the Belk Bowl is the one to Tweet about this, considering this very well may be the Wolfpack’s bowl destination come December.

He may get to see his friends at Belk and they can supply him with enough towels to last him an entire football season.
